Safety Guy & Bubble Baths

Things have been quite nutty around here since William started working saftey crew at a local refinery during their "turnaround" process. It is a grueling schedule of 12-hour days, 7 days a week for 4-6 weeks total. He's doing really well with it & is such a trooper leaving the house by 6 every morning. Here he is in his partial gear:

I'm sure you feel safer already. :-)

Since William is working like crazy, I have been on my own with these two monkey boys. We seem to have fallen into a groove, but I sure will be glad when the project is over & I can finally get a break.

Before he started the job, William made sure our new bathroom was usable. We can finally give the boys their baths in a real bathtub!

They do love those bubbles!

Never say never

Well, the joke is on me! I have always said I would NEVER drive a mini-van and yet this beautiful boat is now parked outside our house. How did that happen?!? I have no idea, but I love it already!

Quinn the artist

Quinn has been attending preschool once a week since September... he usually doesn't care much for the arts & crafts projects, but here is a painting he did all by himself. William made the "Q", but the rest was all Quinn.

We'll start two days a week at preschool this next quarter to prepare for going to "real" school in the fall. Can't believe my baby is going to be ready to be at school by himself! We have our transition meeting with the school district in a couple of weeks where they will tell us what kind of services they will provide for him. (Once he turns three all his services change from the state to the school district.) With the economy in shambles, especially the schools, we don't hold out much hope they'll be able to offer much, but we'll just have to wait and see I suppose!

Fun in the snow

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to have the chance to meet Grandma & Grandpa up in the mountains for a visit. When we arrived there wasn't much snow, but within a day or so it snowed & snowed & snowed some more. We had such a great time introducing the boys to real winter. Remy seemed to like it after awhile, but Quinn is a warm-weather boy it turns out! He was not too impressed with the snow... or perhaps it was the ear infection he came down with the next day?!? The boys are finally both on the mend after many colds in a row. We sure are looking forward to spring! Here are a few pix from our trip:
